As a Senior / Principal Account Manager, you’ll play a critical role in shaping and growing long-term customer relationships. You won’t just manage accounts – you’ll act as a Trusted Advisor, Challenger, and Growth Partner, driving commercial impact and ensuring customers unlock the full value of JOIN.

Tasks

What you’ll be doing

Your work directly impacts JOIN’s revenue growth and customer retention:

  • Own a portfolio of ~150–300 SMB accounts with full commercial responsibility (retention & expansion)
  • Lead commercial renewals including pricing, negotiation, and contract terms
  • Identify churn and upsell signals proactively using CRM (Hubspot), usage data, and customer engagement insights
  • Build and execute structured account growth plans for your portfolio
  • Drive expansion through consultative up, and cross-selling conversations
  • Run strategic check-ins and QBRs with stakeholders from recruiter level to C-suite
  • Maintain a strong data-driven pipeline and forecast in HubSpot
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to improve customer outcomes and product adoption

Who you’ll work with

You’ll report to the Team Lead Account Management and work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product. Externally, you will engage with key decision-makers across a diverse SMB customer base in the DACH region.

Your mission: maximise customer value, secure renewals, and systematically grow revenue across your portfolio.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

We don’t believe in checklists – but if most of these apply to you, we’d love to chat:

✔ 5+ years experience in Account Management, Sales, or Customer Success with clear commercial ownership in B2B SaaS
✔ Proven track record owning renewals and expansion revenue (upsell, cross-sell, pricing & negotiation)
✔ Experience managing a high-volume SMB portfolio (150–300 accounts) with proactive prioritisation
✔ Strong data-driven mindset: confident using CRM (Hubspot), reports, and product signals to identify churn and growth opportunities
✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in German and English
✔ Structured, proactive, and independent working style with strong ownership mentality
✔ Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-change, startup environment with monthly contracts and recurring commercial conversations

Bonus points:

  • Experience in HR Tech / Recruitment SaaS
  • Experience with HubSpot or similar CRM tools
  • Fluency in French
