Experienced profile with experience in media &/or marketing agencies (5 years). C2 English & Spanish. Hybrid position (Madrid-based).
We are looking for a communications professional with a background in communications, marketing, or public relations, and experience in media and marketing agencies. The ideal candidate has proven experience in:
- Designing and executing marketing & communication campaigns
- Media relations and press engagement
- Stakeholder engagement
- KPI monitoring, budget management & reporting with clear metrics
- Event organisation
Valuable additional skills: social media management (organic & paid), content strategies, graphic and video editing, and website development & management. We expect a general understanding of all these areas, with proficiency in at least one of them.
Tasks
You will join the Communications Area at Innovarum, working closely with a junior colleague and under the supervision of the Communications Area Director.
Your role will focus on developing engaging and impactful communication strategies and campaigns for European innovation projects—primarily in the agri-food and bioeconomy fields.
Tasks include:
- Planning and executing communication campaigns
- Content creation (press releases, articles, social media, newsletters)
- Media engagement and event organisation
- Reporting campaign results
- Coordinating communication actions across Europe
Requirements
MANDATORY SKILLS
- English & Spanish C2 level (proficiency) is MANDATORY, both oral and written – no certificate necessary, but we will test your skills in the interview process.
- Proficiency in MS Office. – No certificate necessary, but we will test your skills in the interview process.
- Experience in marketing or media agencies (at least 5 years). Track record of campaigns, media engagement or relevant communication actions
- Strategic mindset and understanding of communication activities. You know how to plan communication campaigns from beginning to end, covering ideation, budget, development, implementation and reporting.
- High proficiency in at least one of the following fields: website development & management (WordPress Avada Themes), social media management (Hootsuite, SEMRUSH or similar platforms, organic and paid strategies), graphic design (Adobe Programmes), or video editing (Premiere or similar programmes).
- Education in communication, marketing, public relations, journalism (or similar). Master’s degree level or relevant internships.
BONUS POINTS
- Knowledge of EU Projects Dissemination and Communication tools (Horizon Europe, etc).
- Other languages and international experience: professional or during education/training.
