IT Business Analyst – Finance Closing & Process Optimization (SAP FICO)

For our client from the insurance sector in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced and motivated IT Business Analyst – Financial Closing & Process Optimization (SAP FICO).

In this project, you will review and optimise the Corporate Center’s financial closing procedures by analysing processes, systems, and data flows to uncover automation and efficiency potential. You will work closely with Finance, IT and AI/automation teams to define improvements that accelerate the overall closing cycle and reduce manual effort.

Your Tasks:

• Partner with Corporate Center finance stakeholders to analyse closing processes
• Map existing workflows and identify automation and AI opportunities
• Assess data sources and define required system or data changes
• Translate findings into clear technical and process improvement specifications
• Collaborate with IT, data, AI and delivery teams to implement changes
• Support process redesign and continuous improvement

Your Profile:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, within the fiancial sector
• Strong technical understanding, including SAP FI/CO and group reporting
• Knowledge of consolidation and Corporate Center finance processe
• Strong analytical and process mapping skills
• Experience applying AI, robotics automation, or lean/process redesign
• Communication, stakeholder management, especially with senior management
• Fluent in business English, German is a plus
