About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in Budapest. In this role, you will evaluate client requirements, design, and deliver robust solutions with a primary focus on Campus/Branch wired and wireless networks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional technology and infrastructure teams to shape high-level design standards and drive network changes.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Architecture: Evaluate client business requirements and design tailored solutions for Campus and Branch wired/wireless environments.
- Standardization: Facilitate the development of High-Level Design (HLD) patterns, standard configuration templates, and operational standards.
- Collaboration: Partner with core technology and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration.
- Execution & Testing: Develop comprehensive execution, testing, and rollback plans for network deployments and changes.

Requirements
Requirements & Technical Skills
Essential Skills:
- Experience: 5–7 years in an enterprise environment or with a system integrator.
- Routing & Switching: Deep hands-on knowledge of OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSTP, and EtherChannel.
- Hardware: Strong experience with Cisco Catalyst product lines (preferably Catalyst 9000 series).
- Wireless: solid understanding of Wireless networks (preferably Cisco).
- Network Security: Proven experience with IPsec, MACsec, and MAB/802.1X authentication.
- QoS: Conceptual and practical understanding of Quality of Service principles.
- Automation & Scripting: Hands-on experience with Bash, Python, and Ansible.
Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Overlay Solutions: Experience with SD-WAN, Cisco SD-Access, Cisco ACI, or EVPN-VXLAN.
- IoT Networks: Experience designing or maintaining enterprise IoT network infrastructure.
- Endpoint Profiling: Familiarity with Cisco ISE, Armis, Forescout, or similar platforms.
- Management & Orchestration: Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center).
- Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform, NETCONF, or Ekahau for Wi-Fi planning/site surveys.
