Tasks

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our Global Network Team in Le Trait, France. In this role, you will support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across global sites, with a primary focus on the EMEA region. You will collaborate with international teams to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing network services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain global network infrastructure and services.
  • Design and implement network solutions for regional sites.
  • Manage network upgrades, patching, and change activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and performance issues.
  • Maintain network documentation, reports, and technical guides.
  • Support SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, wireless, and VOIP environments.
  • Manage Riverbed WAN optimization appliances.
  • Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation.
  • Collaborate with global teams on network projects and improvements.

  • Cisco Routers, Switches, and Wireless LAN Infrastructure

  • Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
  • Switching Technologies: VLANs, STP, VTP, EtherChannel
  • SD-WAN (VMware VeloCloud)
  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
  • F5 Load Balancers
  • SolarWinds Orion, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA, ThousandEyes
  • Microsoft Azure, AWS, OCI
  • VOIP & Unified Communications
  • Experience with high-latency/low-bandwidth environments (VSAT)

Requirements

Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of enterprise network support experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale heterogeneous network environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or structured IT service management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Nice to Have

  • Cisco CCNA (or higher certification).
  • Experience with energy sector environments.
  • Strong focus on network security, standardization, and optimization.
  • Experience with ITIL-aligned service management processes.
