We are seeking a team member to perform analyses, build models, and program systems with AI to support the CORE Business Unit and greenteg in data-driven decision making.
The Strategic Business Analyst will support three main areas within the CORE Business Unit: Marketing & eComm, Business Development and Operations. General responsibilities and examples of tasks in each of these areas are outlined below.
Location: Rümlang, CH.
Workload: 80–100%.
Starting date: flexible, latest Jan 2026.
Tasks
Marketing & eComm:
- Maintain and further develop the marketing attribution model.
- Establish customer insight & segmentation approaches to inform acquisition & retention strategies.
- Develop further reporting on KPIs such as off-site engagement, traffic, site funnel metrics, revenue, sell-through etc. Establish and monitor their drivers at the athlete, channel, campaign or geography levels.
Business Development:
- Coordinate market research studies and analyse resulting data to inform business strategy on areas such as product integration
- Analyse various key business decisions
- Review and report on B2B opportunities based on internal and external analysis
Operations:
- Maintain and enhance the inventory planning and tracking system, ensuring accurate, timely data for supply chain visibility and decision-making.
- Lead product demand forecasting and scenario modelling, using historical data and market trends to support strategic planning.
- Evaluate supply chain and operational solutions, identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct financial analysis of product and inventory performance, including turnover, aging, margin contribution, and cost-to-serve metrics.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, data modelling and interpretation skills:
– Proficiency in tools such as Excel (advanced), Google Sheets, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
– Experience working with large datasets and creating actionable business insights.
– Ability to identify performance drivers (e.g., inventory turnover, campaign ROI, sell-through rates) across various business dimensions (product, channel, region).
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence, inventory planning or reporting tools, familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience in forecasting and scenario planning, comfortable applying statistical and trend-based forecasting models.
- Solid understanding of financial and operational metrics:
– Experience conducting cost analysis, margin evaluation, or performance comparisons.
– Previous exposure to P&L ownership, cost-benefit analyses, or budget modelling is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Operations or a related field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or product-led environment.
- Programming or automation skills (Python, SQL, VBA).
- Familiarity with analysing product usage analytics (e.g., app interaction or engagement metrics) in collaboration with data science or product teams.
- Experience with Shopify, GA4, attribution methodologies or AB-testing.
- Interest in endurance sports.
