The role

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products. Beyond manual testing, you will design and implement automated testing strategies, help shape engineering best practices, and integrate quality throughout the entire development lifecycle. Our tech stack is primarily built around Node.js + TypeScript stack (NestJS/React).

You will collaborate closely with the QA Lead, developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to define and deliver scalable testing solutions that enable fast, reliable releases.

Tasks

  • Design and maintain scalable end-to-end automated test suites to ensure product quality across critical user journeys.
  • Define and improve quality metrics and KPIs (defect leakage, coverage, flakiness, release cycle time) to support data-driven decisions.
  • Partner with engineering to integrate automated tests into CI/CD for fast, reliable delivery.
  • Review requirements and designs to identify risks, edge cases, and test scenarios early.
  • Assess unit and integration test coverage to identify gaps and strengthen test strategy.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover complex or hard-to-detect issues.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date test documentation for transparency and long-term use.

Requirements

Technical background

  • Proven experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent tools.
  • Ability to understand, evaluate, and reason about unit and integration test coverage to identify gaps and improve overall test strategy.
  • Experience performing manual and exploratory testing when needed to validate complex scenarios or edge cases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD environments and the integration of automated tests into build and deployment pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of software development principles, testing strategies, and quality assurance methodologies.
