We’re developing a greenfield IoT product - a smart parcel locker system that brings together hardware, embedded software, and cloud services at scale. As a Hardware Integration Engineer - IoT Devices, you’ll play a pivotal role in bridging external hardware partners and our internal engineering teams.
In this role, you’ll guide the design, validation, and integration of electrical systems, sensors, actuators, and peripherals, ensuring the hardware foundation is robust, compliant, and ready for production. If you’re excited about shaping connected devices from the ground up and want to see your work deployed in the real world, this is the opportunity for you.
Tasks
- Act as the technical project engineer for hardware and electronics integration within the parcel locker system
- Collaborate with external partners and suppliers on the development and design of electrical systems, battery packs, chargers, and power supplies
- Define technical requirements, review partner deliverables, and ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and integration specifications to guide manufacturing and service
- Coordinate and perform system-level validation and integration testing of hardware components (sensors, actuators, HMIs, payment terminals, power systems).
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, safe, and cost-effective, supporting production and scaling activities
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, validation reports, and partner evaluation notes
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges in collaboration with suppliers and internal engineering teams
- Serve as the key interface between external electronics partners and internal software/mechanical/backend teams to ensure seamless end-to-end solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in hardware integration or electronics project engineering for IoT devices or complex electromechanical systems
- Strong background in electronics and electrical system integration, with ability to evaluate partner designs and solutions
- Familiarity with battery-powered systems and associated safety and compliance considerations
- Hands-on experience integrating and validating hardware peripherals (sensors, actuators, HMIs, payment devices)
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and certification processes (e.g., CE, UL, IEC)
- Skilled in creating and reviewing wiring diagrams, schematics, and harness layouts
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience managing technical workstreams across suppliers and cross-functional teams
Bonus Points
- Experience as a technical lead or project engineer in IoT or connected hardware initiatives
- Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) principles
- Exposure to renewable-powered systems (e.g., solar integration) or industrial automation hardware
This is a greenfield opportunity to help shape the hardware foundation of a next-generation parcel locker system. You’ll act as the technical owner for hardware integration, working with trusted external partners and internal teams to ensure the system is reliable, safe, and production-ready. Your work will directly bridge the gap between design, suppliers, and large-scale deployment.
