Generative AI is a new wave of technological disruption that will ripple through countless industries. We started Genova to be at the forefront of the revolution. Genova, meaning "New Wave" is a venture studio aimed at building delightful products around Generative AI.

After founding Smallpdf (a top 100 website globally) and Taxfix (a FinTech unicorn), Mathis (Linkedin profile) founded Genova, together with a handful of other product, growth and AI experts. Our aim is to combine our expertise and experience to build products that improve human experiences for millions of people.

A Venture Lead at Genova is the commercial lead of one cross-functional product team. They work closely with the design and engineering lead of the their team to launch products and and market them successfully. Being a Venture Lead at Genova is like being a startup founder on steroids - you launch several products in a few years, succeed and fail fast and work and learn with the top 1% of talent.

__What you will do__

* You will have the ownership of one of the 4 product teams of the studio (deliverables, P&L, team)
* You will launch several new products per year with your team - you own this process from idea to research to launch, monetisation and possibly retirement
* You will work closely with the founder of Genova as well as the industry-veterans who are in the advisory network of Genova
* Together with the design and engineering lead you will manage the product team, make sure that the team enjoys working together and everyone is having fun
* You will be the intersection of marketing & product meaning that you will spend 30-40% of your time on go-to-market strategies and growth
* You will be making important decisions in product and marketing based on extensive data analysis

## Requirements

__Your background__

* You have Bachelor Degree (ideally in something like Economics, Business or Finance) from a top university
* You have at least 2-3 years of work experience (Tech, VC, Consulting or similar)
* You have a continuous track record of taking the initiative in your life to organise, build, set up etc. something on your own (event, brand, business, etc.)
* You have commercial / growth marketing experience (you have promoted your own or somebody else's business or yourself)
* You have a strong vision how you want to build things and you are humble to get feedback and guidance and learn from the best
* You like to be analytical and like spending time with spreadsheets and analysis
* You have growth mindset - you want to be better today than yesterday and tomorrow better than today

Nice to have

* If you have founded a company on your own it's a plus
* If you have worked as a Product Manager it's a plus

Genova is a fundamentally new approach to how products are built. Genova is a studio with 4 product teams - each one building simple tools and software to enable millions of people to use the magic of Generative AI.

The 4 product teams are agile, release every day and build small, scalable products that generate loads of value for a lot of people. If their product becomes profitable, the team will receive a percentage of those profits as bonuses.

The product pods are supported by the studio layer, which includes supporting functions, a kick-ass growth and marketing team as well as some of the top AI researchers in Europe.

Genova aims to always stay agile and fast - we aim to hire smart and experienced people, capping our headcount at 40 people in total. If a product requires more people, it will become a spin-off with its own team.
