Gailarde is a family-run business established in 1979, as a wholesale supplier of textiles and is now one of the UK’s largest suppliers of linen, bedding, furniture and homeware. Originating as a wholesale textile supplier, we've consistently expanded our wholesale operations YoY. In addition to this steady growth, we've recently made exciting strides into the Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) sector with our own brand 'UniKitOut' and the newly acquired 'noah - Starter Kits', which we added to our portfolio in May 2023.

As we look to further venture into the DTC space, we're looking to build a skilled team of eCommerce professionals to propel our expansion. Joining us means the opportunity to apply your expertise across our range of DTC brands, aiming to multiply their growth in the near future. Our team of 75 professionals, spanning various departments, are ready to support this venture, bolstered by our advanced, in-house warehouse facilities which provide a robust backbone for any DTC operations.

## Tasks

**💪 About the Role - eCommerce Manager**

We’re looking for an experienced eCommerce Manager, who’s looking to make their mark within a newly formed DTC team within a larger organisation. Reporting to the Head of Product, this is a newly created role which will be instrumental to our growth over the next year. The eCommerce Manager will own and manage our website and 3rd party marketplace channels. We want every customer to feel a sense of delight as they browse our website, through to (and after) their purchase. Your role will be to use data & collaborate with the wider team to identify ways to improve the web experience across a variety of touchpoints e.g. through A/B testing new ideas to optimise conversion rates (CRO). The successful applicant will enjoy a varied, hands-on role, with lots of autonomy, and benefit from exposure to other areas of the business, and support and resources to do great work.

**Key Projects (6-12 Months)**

*   Launching new Shopify Stores & Channel Integrations
*   Develop an A/B Testing Strategy
*   Assist with building our new University & Accommodation Provider Partner Portal
*   Assist with tightly integrating our new ERP system across various departments and channels

**Key Responsibilities (Day to Day)**

*   Develop and implement effective strategies to drive online sales and increase customer acquisition
*   Manage and optimize e-commerce platforms, including websites and marketplaces such as Amazon/Etsy, to improve user experience and conversion rates
*   Maintain product listings across all channels
*   writing functional specifications for our development and design teams
*   Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for optimization and growth
*   Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of e-commerce initiatives
*   Develop and maintain our roadmap & backlog with the team in notion

*   Ability to solve problems using data. You know how to dive deep into data to identify areas where we’re succeeding and where we’re failing.
*   A love for digital. You can talk about your favourite websites and apps in detail, what they do right, what they do wrong and how you’d improve them.
*   Excellent & proactive communication and interpersonal skills
