As a dynamic, remote-first working startup with a growing and experienced team we sell messaging software to healthcare facilities and help improve treatment outcomes through easy communication between doctors, nurses and therapists. Tasks:

As a Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) you'll work as part of a team of talented developers of all levels, and your work will help take our software solution for the healthcare industry to the next level. Famedly relies on open source software and primarily uses Matrix and FHIR to modernize the healthcare industry. Although your work will mainly be around microservices based on Matrix, FHIR and other interfaces, you will always have the opportunity to dive into other Open Source projects as well. Responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of scalable and secure backend systems
• Collaboration with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software
• Planning and architecting of the wider stack and intra-service interaction
• Ownership of development processes, f.x. defining and maintaining code quality standards and the systems that enforce them
• Ownership of the software development lifecycle

Requirements:

• You have 8+ years experience in professional software development
• You have experience with the organisational aspects of software development
• You have experience in project management
• You are a team player who can learn quickly and think creatively
• You understand that communication is one of the most important skills for a developer.
• You have experience with relational databases
• You have experience in API design
• You are not afraid to own the complete process from design to production
• Bonus: You have a good understanding of Matrix, FHIR, decentral architecture and cryptography as well as some experience with working in agile teams.

A degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus. However, we do not require a degree, but are more interested in your skills. Feel free to share your GitHub/GitLab profile with us if you have one.
