Automation Engineer

📍 We are currently looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a renowned Swiss organization based in Zurich.

This role is strongly On-Premises oriented. We are looking for a hands-on Infrastructure & Automation specialist with strong System Administration expertise.

As an Automation Engineer, you will act as a key contributor within the Infrastructure team, focusing on automation, system administration, and operational support (Run activities).

You will work on complex OnPrem environments combining Windows, Linux, virtualization, storage and backup systems.

• 3rd level support on: Windows Server - RedHat Linux ServerVMware infrastructure
• Support and Run activities on production environments

3rd level support on: Windows Server - RedHat Linux Server - VMware infrastructure

• Administration of physical and virtual server environments
• Troubleshooting, incident management (recovery, repair)
• Performance tuning and system optimization
• Monitoring and maintaining data security standards
• Support of SAN storage (HPE) environments
• Support of backup infrastructure (Veeam)
• Creation and maintenance of system documentation
• Collaboration with internal stakeholders

🛠️

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Infrastructure / System Engineering
• Strong experience in OnPrem environments
• Strong automation mindset (Ansible-focused)
• Solid background in System Administration (Windows & Linux)
• Experience in Production environments
• Support & Run oriented profile

🧩 Technical Environment

• Automation: Ansible (mandatory)
• Operating Systems: Windows Server & RedHat Linux
• Virtualization: VMware
• Backup: Veeam
• Ticketing/Documentation: Jira, Confluence

Working language:

English (mandatory)

German is a strong plus

We follow a 4-step recruitment process:

1️⃣ First interview via Microsoft Teams to discuss your background, skills, and introduce Enova.

2️⃣ Second interview with the Business Manager or Account Manager.

3️⃣ Technical interview/meeting with the client’s technical team.

4️⃣ Final meeting to present the contract proposal (ideally onsite at our office).
