We are seeking a highly motivated member to join our Structures Team, keen to contribute and thrive in a dynamic R&D environment.

As a Senior Stress Engineer, you will play a key role in the structural analysis and certification of our next-generation aircraft. You’ll work closely with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure our aircraft structures meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Experience in the UAS or EVTOL sector and hands-on experience in composite materials and structural testing will be a strong plus in this role.

As a part of the team, you will work at the forefront of cutting-edge technology and will directly contribute to the advancement of automated hybrid-electric flight.

Tasks

  • Perform static and fatigue analyses for metallic and composite structures.
  • Define load cases and support structural sizing and optimization activities.
  • Perform dynamic analysis to define external load from flight maneuvers, gust, takeoff and landing for use in static analysis
  • Support the development of FEM models and perform detailed finite element analysis.
  • Review and verify structural designs to ensure compliance with applicable airworthiness standards (e.g., SC-LUAS, CS-VLA, CS-23).
  • Collaborate with design engineers to develop lightweight and innovative designs and ensure manufacturability and maintainability.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior design engineers.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in structural or stress analysis in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of composite and metallic structures.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency with FEA tools (e.g., Nastran, Patran, Abaqus, or similar).
  • Familiarity with certification processes and airworthiness regulations.
  • Experience in the UAS sector and/or in structural testing is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
