Directing Financial Integrity and Procedural Excellence
Location: Heerlen (close to Aachen) | Condition: Full-time, 40h/week
Focus: Accounting DE, IFRS, Dutch GAAP, HGB & Leadership | Working model: Hybrid
The Mission: Health in one Click
At DocMorris, we do not merely distribute pharmaceuticals; we facilitate access to care. Our vision is definitive: "Health in one click." To uphold this commitment for millions of patients every day, our financial infrastructure must run with absolute rigour and precision.
As the Team Lead Accounting, you shall serve as the 'financial conscience' for our Dutch and German entities. Your mandate extends beyond team management; you will safeguard quality, optimise workflows, and act as a strategic interlocutor for the Head of Finance. In a listed environment where agility and compliance are paramount, you will be a key part of our financial stability.

Tasks

The Challenge
This is an appointment for a professional who thrives within complexity and high-stakes financial environments. You will be expected to undertake the following:

Empowering Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of four specialists, fostering a culture of professional ownership, transparency, and consensus-driven decision-making.

Reporting Authority: Orchestrate the preparation of monthly group reports and statutory annual accounts in strict accordance with IFRS, HGB and Dutch GAAP.

Strategic Liaison: Serve as the principal point of contact for external auditors. You will ensure that all documentation is not merely compliant, but rigorously 'audit-proof' (AO/IC).

Process Architecture: Identify systemic inefficiencies and spearhead the design and implementation of agile solutions. You will translate complex regulatory requirements (e.g., transfer pricing) into robust operational workflows.

Deputising Responsibilities: Support the Head of Finance on high-impact projects and represent the department at a management level during their absence.

Requirements

Your Professional Profile
We seek a candidate with a formidable analytical mind, exceptional communicative tact, and a natural capacity for leadership.

Academic Foundation: A Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting. A formal qualification such as AA or RA (or being in the final stages of qualification) shall be considered a significant advantage.

Proven Track Record: Extensive experience garnered within an audit firm or a sophisticated corporate finance department, complemented by demonstrable leadership success.

Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive mastery of IFRS and Dutch GAAP is essential. Proficiency in HGB (German GAAP) shall be considered a significant advantage.

Technological Proficiency & AI: You are highly adept in SAP and Excel. Furthermore, you possess a keen affinity for AI applications, with a desire to explore how artificial intelligence may further refine financial reporting and data-driven insights.

Linguistic Versatility: Professional fluency in Dutch and English is a prerequisite for our international, cross-border operations. Proficiency in German is considered a big advantage

Benefits

Why Join DocMorris?

Compensation: A competitive salary ranging between €5,700 and €7,100 gross per month, complemented by a performance-based variable bonus

Global Impact: Contribute to the strategic evolution of digital healthcare across Europe.

Culture: An empathetic professional environment where competence, integrity, and collective success are celebrated.

Professional Development: Continuous opportunities for growth within a high-velocity, listed e-commerce organisation.

Flexibility: A contemporary, hybrid-working model situated in the heart of the Euregion.
