Directors, Chief Executives

DeweyLearn exists to help organizations preserve and scale expert judgment. We believe the most valuable knowledge in any organization doesn't live in manuals or policies, it lives in the decisions experts make every day. Our platform captures that expertise, transforms it into scalable AI systems, and applies it to authentic assessment, coaching, certification, quality assurance, and any workflow where human judgment matters.

DeweyLearn enables this. We collaborate closely with customers to surface their expertise and organizational knowledge, articulate what good performance and learning look like in their context, and help implement and change how they operate. The Forward Deployed Partner is principally responsible for this collaborative work with our partners.

Tasks

You will take ownership of new customer relationships the moment we sign a contract, and your mandate from day one is customer success, product innovation, account management, and relationship expansion. You’ll be the primary face of DeweyLearn for some of our largest enterprise customers, working alongside a small, fast, highly-agile, multi-disciplinary DeweyLearn team.

Requirements

Enterprise customer excellence. You bring the relationship-building instincts that come from running large, complex enterprise accounts: a tight executive cadence, an early read on adoption friction and churn signals, and a clear plan for renewal and expansion. You've seen what good looks like in a mature customer-excellence function. You are fluent in helping to build out playbooks, health frameworks, expansion motions and, working alongside integrators. The systems you build in each engagement will inform the efficiency and effectiveness of subsequent engagements. You manage customer relationships through strategic consultation, straight talk, effective follow-through, change management, with an eye to the long game over the easy win.

AI fluency. You work AI-natively. You harness agentic tools to increase your effectiveness and efficiency, have strong instincts for what different models can and can't do well, and read their outputs critically rather than accept them whole.

Domain expertise. Knowledge of and experience in higher education, technical education, workforce development, clinical practice, or related settings is essential. Fluency in learning science and assessment design is preferred; you'll be coaching customers in these areas, amplifying and enhancing their expertise from day one.

Coaching, consulting, and change management. You run structured discovery, facilitate working sessions with senior teams, and help shape the rubrics and frameworks that anchor a successful engagement. You build with customers, not for them, helping them give shape to what they already know but cannot yet fully express. You coach champions and skeptics through the change arc, challenge inherited assumptions rather than work around them, and embrace lean and experimental approaches.

Project and product management. You run complex engagements on time, surface risk early, and own outcomes when plans shift. You run structured check-ins, executive readouts, and adoption troubleshooting; partner with our implementation engineer on delivery; and feed structured product signal back to our team.

We care about what you can do and how you think, not where you've done it. We're hiring for talent that amplifies the team. We will evaluate candidates based on concrete examples, demonstrably deep knowledge, and real work samples. strong judgment, executive presence, and self-direction that come from having done work like this at this level, without a manager scripting the moves.

Benefits

Competitive compensation commensurate with experience; medical benefits, and flexible PTO; Remote-first with 25–35% travel for customer engagements.

What this role is not

  • Not a traditional customer success role — not renewals processing, ticket triage, or QBR-running. The enterprise customer excellence DNA, though, is exactly what makes this role work.
  • Not a delivery management role — you are a peer to customer leadership, not a milestone reporter.
  • Not a pure consulting role — the engagement does not end when a deck is delivered.

The team you’re joining

DeweyLearn is a small, close-knit team, moving fast, with a deep conviction in the impact DeweyLearn can have on learning and learners. We emphasize fun and a high level of collaboration, while holding each other accountable to our shared outcomes. We hire on ability and judgment, not pedigree, and we trust deeply once we do. We bias toward straight talk, deliver on what we said we would, and treat play and curiosity as part of how the team discovers what to build. We refuse to ship work we wouldn’t be proud of.
