We are Restaurant Deja-Vu Gestel, where dishes inspired by Asian andFrench cuisines come together. We are looking for a passionateIndependent Chef I to strengthen our kitchen team. Are you a chef whoperforms best in the kitchen? As a chef, you will be responsible for thepreparation and presentation of dishes and dish components. You willwork under the supervision of our head chef or owner, but you are alsocapable of running the kitchen independently when needed. In addition,you will collaborate with fellow chefs and, when necessary, supervisekitchen assistants. You will work according to established guidelinesregarding ingredients, recipes, working methods, and presentationstandards. Tasks
- Selecting, preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.), and cookingdishes according to recipes.
- Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) andmaking adjustments as needed.
- Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
- Coordinating and directing (assistant) chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintaining inventory, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.
- Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, andworkstations.
- Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
- Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments ofmenus, the menu list, and working methods
