Chief of Staff - Medical AI Software (w/d/m) full-time or part-time

Unser Ziel ist es, Sehkraftverlust und letztlich Erblindung zu verhindern, indem wir KI-Software entwickeln, die Augenärzte bei der Therapieplanung für ihre Patienten unterstützt. Wir verwenden computergestützte Deep-Learning-Modelle (KI), die auf Tausenden von Fällen und Millionen von Bildern trainiert wurden, um das Fortschreiten der Krankheit vorherzusagen, die Therapie zu individualisieren und die klinischen Ergebnisse zu verbessern. Unser KI-Assistent analysiert OCT-Scans von weit verbreiteten Augenkrankheiten wie der altersbedingte Makuladegeneration (AMD, 7,5 Mio. Betroffene allein in Deutschland).

• Own and optimize core operations – oversee finance, accounting, controlling, potentially people operations, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional strategic projects – coordinate initiatives like market entry into new regions, the implementation of new tools (e.g., project management, customer dashboards), and execution of financing rounds.
• Act as a central coordination hub – align stakeholders across teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and efficient decision-making.
• Enhance organizational effectiveness – design and implement processes, KPIs, and reporting systems that improve transparency and performance.
• You are great at your job if your colleagues cannot imagine working without your operational improvements.

As a next step, you could develop into our Head of Finance or Operations.

Your must-haves

• Strategic mindset with strong analytical skill combined with a can-do-attitude: You like numbers, detect problems and you act on it!
• Exceptional communication abilities (verbal, written, slides, storylines) – skilled in managing relationships with investors, board members, and cross-functional teams.
• Operational excellence – strong capability to streamline workflows using spreadsheets (Google Sheets, Excel) and project management tools (Monday.com, Notion, Asana, Motion).
• Cross-functional leadership – proven experience managing complex initiatives across multiple teams and departments.
• Perfect English (C2) and good German (B2-C1), other languages a plus
• 2+ years of relevant working experience e.g. startup (founder) experience, VC/PE/M&A/investment banking, or (strategy) consulting

Your nice-to-haves

• Degree in business/economics/finance and working experience in tech, or a degree in engineering/science/medicine with working experience in business
• Working experience in health(tech), interest in ophthalmology
