We’re the minds behind titles like Lords of the Fallen , The Surge series, and Atlas Fallen , known for their rich worlds and immersive gameplay. But we believe the best games are still ahead of us, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a creative and visionary Lead Concept Artist (f/m/x) to join our team immediately and help us create the next generation of immersive worlds.

Your Quest:

As our Lead Concept Artist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the visual direction of our games. You’ll guide a talented team of artists, ensuring that our games not only meet but exceed the expectations of players worldwide.

Art Direction and Style:

  • Explore, define, and maintain the artistic style and visual direction for our game.
  • Create concept art for characters, environments, props, and key visual elements, along with reference and mood boards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director and Creative Director to ensure consistency with the game's vision.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of concept artists.
  • Set artistic standards, provide constructive feedback, and inspire creativity.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Identify new learning opportunities and promote team development.

Conceptualization and Ideation:

  • Translate ideas and descriptions into compelling visual concepts.
  • Generate initial sketches and ideas based on design briefs.
  • Iterate on designs, considering gameplay, narrative, and technical constraints.

Collaboration with Other Disciplines:

  • Work closely with 3D artists, animators, VFX artists, and designers.
  • Communicate the visual vision across all departments to ensure alignment.

Experience, Innovation, and Iteration:

  • Apply industry knowledge and new tools and workflows to concept development.
  • Continuously learn and explore new artistic techniques.
  • Ensure that concept art transitions seamlessly into game content.

Project Management:

  • Plan and prioritize concept art tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with producers and project managers to meet deadlines.
  • Manage resources efficiently and oversee external work as needed.

Quality Control and Finalization:

  • Review and approve final concept art, ensuring adherence to the established style guide.
  • Contribute to marketing materials and promotional art.

Your Toolkit:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Senior Concept Artist in the gaming industry, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Shipped Games: Experience working on released games.
  • Artistic Excellence: Superior skills in composition, values, mood management via light and color for digital concept art.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert in industry-standard software (e.g., Photoshop).
  • Creativity: Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to generate a wide range of ideas.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to different art styles and genres as needed.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; strong command of the English language.

You Get Extra XP For:

  • Supporting Software: Experience with 3D tools (Blender, 3DSMax, MAYA, ZBrush).
  • Extended Artistic Passion: Knowledge of anatomy, architecture, industrial design, etc.
  • Game Engines: Familiarity with Unreal Engine.
  • Support Software: Experience with bug tracking software (JIRA) and versioning systems (Perforce).
  • Passion for Gaming : A deep love for video games and an understanding of player experiences.
