Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a Hardware Integration Engineer to assist in building a Subsystem Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setup that will encompass approximately 12 Electronic Control Units (ECUs), primarily within the Powertrain and Vehicle Dynamics domains. The project will leverage existing component HILs, reusing parts such as plant models, wiring harnesses, and configurations. Scalability and simplicity will be key focuses as we move forward.

In this role, you will be responsible for hardware-oriented tasks, including integrating plant models from Simulink into the dSpace toolchain and working on the hardware for the complete subsystem HIL. You will collaborate closely with development teams from various areas to explore and optimize current hardware/software connections.

You will be part of a small, collaborative team responsible for the development and maintenance of the HIL environment. This role involves teamwork, with shared responsibilities and individual contributions that will make a meaningful impact.

• Integrate Simulink-based plant models into the dSpace toolchain.
• Work with hardware components to build and maintain the subsystem HIL.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand and refine HW/SW connections.
• Support the scalability and simplification of the HIL setup.
• Contribute to the team's shared workload while bringing your expertise to key areas of the project.

• Strong knowledge of dSpace hardware.
• Experience with wiring and electronics.
• Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink for model integration.
• Understanding of vehicle dynamics and combustion engines.
