Founding UX Product Designer & User Researcher Lead

Paris, France (hybrid)
Employee
Design and Architecture

Tasks

UX Design:

  • Own the end-to-end design process: from problem framing and concept exploration through wireframes, prototypes and polished UI.
  • Design interactions for AI-native learning experiences where traditional UX patterns don't always apply: conversational interfaces, agent-driven workflows, adaptive content.
  • Maintain Raison's design system: components, tokens, patterns, and guidelines that scale with the product and team.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes for testing and stakeholder alignment using Figma (or your tool of choice).
  • Work hand-in-hand with engineers to ensure what ships matches what was designed.

User Research:

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research: user interviews, contextual inquiries, usability tests, surveys, and diary studies.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of our core users: learners, trainers, instructional designers, and institutional administrators.
  • Synthesize research into actionable insights: personas, journey maps, jobs-to-be-done frameworks, and opportunity assessments.
  • Champion the user's perspective in every product decision.
  • Establish a continuous discovery practice so research is a foundational habit.

Product Strategy:

  • Collaborate with the founders and engineering team to shape the product roadmap based on user evidence.
  • Define and track UX metrics that reflect real learning outcomes and user satisfaction.
  • Contribute to product strategy conversations as an equal partner.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience in product design, UX design, or a hybrid design-research role, ideally on complex, multi-user B2B/B2C products. Previous experience on a learning platform is a huge plus.
  • A strong portfolio that shows both craft and thinking: we want to see how you operated.
  • A skilled researcher who can design a study, run it, and turn messy qualitative data into clear direction.
  • Comfortable designing for AI-driven and adaptive experiences where the interface handles uncertainty, personalization, and non-linear workflows.
  • Excellent visual and interaction design skills: typography, spacing, motion, and the small details that build trust.
  • Autonomous and opinionated, but you hold your opinions loosely when the evidence says otherwise.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and education. Bonus if you've worked with or inside higher education institutions.
  • Fluent in French and English (oral and written). Spanish is a plus.
  • You want ownership, equity, and the kind of career-defining challenge that only comes from being early.
  • Bonus: deeply passionate about something outside of work.

Benefits

  • A founding role with equity and direct influence on company strategy.
  • Competitive salary, benchmarked to the Paris startup ecosystem.
  • Flexibility: remote-friendly with regular in-person collaboration in Paris.
  • A front-row seat to one of the most important shifts in how humans learn.
  • A small, sharp team that ships fast and trusts each other to figure things out.

If you care deeply about making powerful tools feel human and want to shape a product from the very beginning, this is your role. Apply now and help us build the future of learning.
