Tasks

As a Solution Architect, you will lead the technical onboarding of new clients, working closely with the client’s technical teams to understand their processes, systems, and integration requirements, and aligning them with our product capabilities and architecture. You are responsible for translating client requirements into scalable technical solutions on top of our platform.

Your role is to design solutions that balance client needs with our platform standards, ensuring integrations are robust, reusable, and scalable. You work closely with the Business Product Owner, who owns the overall onboarding project and client communication, while you focus on technical discovery, solution design, and integration architecture. By identifying patterns across implementations and promoting reusable approaches, you help strengthen the platform and make future client onboarding faster and more predictable.

In your first month

  • You will develop a strong understanding of the platform architecture, APIs, and core product capabilities.
  • You will learn the current client onboarding process and the role of BPO, Product, and Engineering.
  • You will review recent client implementations to understand common integration patterns and challenges.
  • You will participate in client onboarding calls and technical discussions to become familiar with the process.
  • You will identify initial opportunities to clarify specifications and improve technical documentation.

By 3 months

  • You will independently lead the technical discovery and integration design for new client onboardings.
  • You will produce clear technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and process flows for client implementations.
  • You will improve integration documentation and onboarding templates to make implementations more repeatable.
  • You will work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions remain aligned with platform standards.
  • You will identify recurring client requirements and propose improvements to product APIs or platform capabilities.

By 6 months

  • You will establish consistent technical onboarding practices that reduce ambiguity and rework.
  • You will drive standardization of common integration patterns across clients.
  • You will help reduce the time and complexity required for new client integrations.
  • You will contribute to product and architecture improvements that make the platform easier to integrate with.
  • You become a trusted technical advisor for both clients and internal teams during onboarding.

Requirements

🚀 What you need to be successful:

  • You have experience working as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or senior integration engineer in a B2B SaaS or platform-based environment.
  • You bring strong experience designing and implementing API-based integrations between SaaS platforms and client systems.
  • You are able to understand complex client processes and translate them into clear technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and scalable platform solutions.
  • You understand modern SaaS architectures, system integrations, and common integration patterns (APIs, authentication, data models, webhooks, etc.).
  • You think in systems and are able to balance customer-specific requirements with scalable product architecture.
  • You are comfortable working directly with client technical teams, explaining integration concepts and guiding them through the technical onboarding process.
  • You communicate clearly and can translate between business, product, and engineering stakeholders.
  • You enjoy creating structure, documentation, and reusable templates that make complex processes easier and more repeatable.
  • You have a pragmatic mindset and focus on solving real problems while keeping the platform scalable and maintainable
  • You have a strong problem-solving mindset and are able to recommend trade-offs between cost, time, and quality.
  • You are fluent in English; German and additional languages are a plus.

⚙️ Must have tools/technologies

  • You are familiar with process modeling (BPMN / flow diagrams)
  • You use process-modelling tools such as draw.io, LucidChart or Visio to turn complex workflows into clear, usable diagrams.
  • You manage projects using Gantt-style plans and project-management tools to structure work and track progress.
  • You work with Swagger Editor (OpenAPI / REST) and Postman to design, document and validate APIs and integrations.
  • You are familiar with Agile methodology, Scrum, and related tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • You have experience with API design and integration, including REST, OAuth 2.0, and OpenAPI/Swagger.

🌟 Nice to have Skills

  • You have experience working with platform or integration-heavy SaaS products
  • You are familiar with security standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2) and data‑privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
  • You have experience with enterprise system integrations.
  • You have experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong or MuleSoft.
  • You are familiar with WebSockets and asynchronous APIs, including the AsyncAPI specification.
  • You have experience working with analytics and metrics tools such as Grafana or Datadog.

  • Onboarding sessions with your hiring manager and our Product Owner to understand your role, goals, and priorities.
  • Onboarding sessions with our CEO and COO to learn about CONROO’s vision, strategy, and business.
  • HR onboarding session covering our values, tools, policies, and processes.
  • A buddy system to support you during your first 2 months.
  • Clear goals for your first 1, 3, and 5 months, with expectations defined from day one so you know how success is measured.
  • We know that starting a new role can be overwhelming. That’s why we provide clear documentation, a structured to-do list, and role-specific materials to help you get up to speed quickly.
