Senior Group Internal Auditor Banking

Responsible for carrying out audit engagements, from audit planning through audit procedures, the assessment of internal controls and risk assessment, to the preparation of concise reports based on the findings, as well as monitoring and reviewing the rectification of weaknesses / Completion of the analysis of the audit findings and preparation of a concise overall assessment of the control environment based on the audit methodology, including the formulation of recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes / Ongoing collaboration with stakeholders and senior management, and the development of stable working relationships whilst maintaining independence from control functions such as the first and second lines of defence, external auditors and regulatory authorities / Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency within the existing infrastructure through automated processes, AI-powered tools and data analysis, utilising innovative technologies / Making sure that, as part of the internal audit process, the confidentiality of communications and access to information are maintained in accordance with company policy / Stay informed about evolving industry trends, external news, and regulatory changes and analyze their impact on the business.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business Administration or Economy / CPA, CIA audit certification is preferred Knowledge of private banking, asset management and products and services relating to occupational pension schemes / Experience in the internal audit department of an international bank or at one of the “Big 4” accounting firms in the area of banking audits including applicable laws and regulatory requirements / Experience with internal audit methods and the application of these concepts in planning and conducting audits / In-depth knowledge of internal control concepts, as well as the ability to evaluate and assess the adequacy of control measures by taking a holistic view of business and technological risks / Experience in the field of data analysis and in fostering a culture of innovation / Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, as well as the ability to build credibility and establish partnerships in the business sector and with the first and second lines of defense / Residence in Switzerland / German and English, as well as other languages such as Spanish or Portuguese, are a plus.
