Security Operations Engineer (HashiCorp Vault)

As a HashiCorp Vault expert, you’ll design, build, and maintain secure key management and secrets-handling solutions to protect critical digital assets.

Role Description

As a Senior IT Operations Engineer within the Security Production Team, you will be responsible for leading and implementing key security initiatives, including:

Administering and optimizing HashiCorp Vault to define and enforce security policies.

Designing and building robust Vault-based services supporting internal and external applications.

Managing key management and cloud security use cases within HashiCorp Vault.

Continuously improving and documenting key management procedures and best practices.

Collaborating with infrastructure, development, and security teams to enhance the enterprise’s overall security posture.

Profile Requirements

Languages

English: Fluent (mandatory)

Dutch: Good level required

French: A good level is an asset

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in information security or IT security management.

Hands-on experience managing and configuring HashiCorp Vault in production environments.

Technical Skills

Mandatory:

Proven experience with HashiCorp Vault administration and integration.

Preferred:

Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code principles.

Soft Skills

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Customer-oriented, proactive, and risk-aware.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of initiatives.

Working Conditions

Location: Hybrid – 50% on-site / 50% remote

Contract: Long-term mission
