Your Role: As a working student or thesis candidate, you’ll become an integral part of our dynamic team in Erkrath near Düsseldorf. You’ll contribute to real-world projects that support our mission — whether in engineering, material science, chemistry, or business. Depending on your background and interests, you’ll take ownership of tasks that drive innovation, improve processes, and support our market introduction efforts.

Your tasks may include

• Supporting lab operations and material testing (cement, concrete, durability, environmental impact).
• Assisting in feedstock validation and mineral carbonation research.
• Contributing to certification and compliance documentation.
• Collaborating with production and business teams to align technical development with market needs.
• Conducting market analysis, business modeling, or sustainability assessments.
• Preparing reports, presentations, marketing materials, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

• Your are studying engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics, business administration, sustainability sciences or a related field.
• You are highly motivated to contribute to the development of sustainable construction materials and the growth of a startup company.
• Depending on your individual role, initial laboratory experience, including handling chemicals, is an advantage.

• You will gain direct insight into the growth of a technology startup, including industrial scaling, R&D of our carbon-negative construction material, and strategic decision-making for business development topics from a startup perspective.
• You will be supported by a strong network of expertise within and outside the company.
• If you are interested, you can find a suitable bachelor’s or master’s thesis topic in your academic field to support your professional development and to back Co-reactive's deep tech approach.
• We can plan the working time according to your needs during your exam phase.
• We are a young team with flat hierarchies and a hands-on mentality, meaning decisions are made and implemented quickly.
• Weekly hours can range from 8-20h based on tasks and responsiblities.
