CES offers solutions to complex multidisciplinary engineering tasks for all civil engineering and related sectors. CES renders services ranging from preliminary investigations to construction supervision and cost controlling, training of the client's staff, advisory services in the operation and maintenance of installations, as well as the organization and strengthening of public authorities and institutions. CES works mainly in the field of development cooperation and implements infrastructure projects for national high-end clients (ministries and line authorities) funded by international donors.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Embark with us on an 18-month journey of learning, exploration, and teamwork in Rwanda where CES is implementing several projects in the sectors of Wastewater, Sanitation, Public Infrastructure (mainly schools), and Waste Management. We are looking for a trainee to support us in the implementation of our projects and in our office located in Kigali.

The Trainee Program will immerse you in the heart of development cooperation. On one hand, you'll be introduced to the vast diversity of our ongoing projects, enriching your horizons and skills. On the other hand, we will demand your active support in all our operations and project tasks. The aim will be to make you an integral part of our country team which will allocate important tasks to you and count on your support.

Your tasks:

• Technical support to the projects depending on your skills
• Support with office operations
• Preparation, review and edit of reports
• Coordination of project tasks with various experts
• Development of your skills according to the needs of the projects under supervision of the country manager

What we expect:

• High motivation and flexibility to adapt to and cope with the different needs of the projects and project teams
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering specialized in topics related to environmental management
• Experience in projects or skills related to water/wastewater engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering or similar fields would be an asset.
• Excellent in MS Office
• Excellent English skills
• Any other skills on software and IT-Solutions would be an asset

What we offer:

• Covered air transportation to the project region incl. transportation from your home to the airport and back.
• Covered accommodation in the project region, as well as working equipment, including a laptop.
• 30 days of leave per year and two return flight tickets for vacations back to Germany.
• Besides your basic trainee salary, 44 €/day allowance
• We take care of all vaccination and medication expenses required to travel and work in the project region and provide all necessary protective equipment to ensure your well-being.
• Prior to your trainee program, you will visit our company doctor for a medical check-up to ensure your suitability for an assignment in Rwanda. Despite being a clean and safe country, Rwanda has some health risks like malaria. Please assess your application critically if these pose a risk to your health condition.
