Tasks
Key Responsibilities
Google Workspace for Education Admin
- Create, manage, and archive user accounts for students and staff.
- Organize users into appropriate organizational units (OUs).
- Apply and update security settings (e.g., 2-step verification, password resets).
- Manage access to tools like Gmail, Drive, Classroom, and Meet.
Monitor Google Admin reports for suspicious activity.
Financial Coordination
- Send monthly billing summaries to the accounting department.
- Track usage and license limits for various tech platforms.
Notify leadership of upcoming renewals or service cost changes.
Server & Network Management
- Maintain and update local file servers and shared drives.
- Monitor network connectivity and uptime.
- Assist with firewall and filtering rules.
- Coordinate with ISPs or external tech support as needed.
Educational Platforms Administration
- PowerSchool: Help teachers with gradebook syncing, password resets, and user roles.
- Clever: Sync rosters, manage SSO apps, and troubleshoot login issues.
- Edmentum: Manage class creation, student assignments, and tech support tickets.
- Assist in integrating third-party learning tools with SIS/LMS platforms.
Printer & Copier Support
- Install printers on staff and student devices.
- Monitor toner levels and arrange refills or replacements.
- Clear printer queues and handle paper jams or hardware errors.
- Manage printer permissions for different departments.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or IT certifications (CompTIA, Google IT Support, etc.) preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in IT support, tech administration, or similar role—ideally in an educational or school environment.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace for Education Admin Console (user management, OUs, device policies).
- Familiarity with PowerSchool, Clever, Edmentum, or similar educational platforms.
- Basic understanding of server maintenance and network troubleshooting.
- Experience setting up and managing Chromebooks, printers, and other school devices.
- Comfort using remote support tools and ticketing systems.
- Working knowledge of operating systems (Windows, ChromeOS, macOS is a plus).
Soft Skills & Work Habits
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage time effectively.
- Clear communicator—able to explain tech concepts to non-technical staff and students.
- Patient and professional when providing support or training.
- Reliable, organized, and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.

- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 40 lbs).
