We are looking for an analytical and agile thinker, who loves telling stories with data to join the Farie team in Zürich.

## Tasks

As Data Analyst you will be focused on developing analytical insights and machine learning algorithms which help our key stakeholders to make better decisions, predictions and provide a better experience for our customers.

User stories of particular interest are to find great deals in procurement, price cars accurately based on user inputs and data to help internal stakeholders to build a profitable portfolio of cars.

*   You have strong data science skills and you are familiar with data engineering.
*   You are able to communicate your findings in plain language.
*   Collaborating with the product and engineering team to define analytical projects that solve business problems and own projects from inception to final delivery.
*   Becoming an expert at a variety of data sources and data ontology in the automotive industry.
*   Designing, developing and deploying data-driven predictive models and solutions to solve business problems using the most appropriate techniques in machine learning and statistical modeling, irrespective of data size.

## Requirements

*   Degree in Maths, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Engineering or equivalent field.
*   Extensive programming experience in Python.
*   Extensive experience in working with SQL databases.
*   Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches from project inception and scoping all the way through to final delivery. 
*   Experience with all parts of the data science lifecycle - data wrangling, data cleaning, model selection and development, model deployment, model retraining.
*   Practical experience in relevant machine learning and statistical modelling techniques such as multivariate-linear/logistic regression, tree-based ensemble models like XGBoost or Random Forest, Support Vector Machines and Clustering techniques such as K-Means and DB-Scan.
*   Experience running iterative data analysis and model building using incremental steps to build towards the ultimate goal: rapid integration of new data sources, rapid evolution of data schema and rapid production of prediction accuracy of your models.
*   Experienced with data storytelling using data presentation, visualisation tools and techniques, proof of concept/prototypes etc.
*   Enthusiasm to do things the right way from the ground up.
*   You are experienced building forecasting models using Time-Series Analysis
*   You don't shy away from a challenge
*   Domain expertise or demonstrated affinity for the automotive industry
*   Version control using (github / gitlab)
*   You are fluent in English. Mastering the German language is an advantage
*   Adaptable and positive, can do attitude.

**Desirable:**

*   Experience with Neural Networks and associated Python Packages (Keras, Pytorch, tensorflow) 
*   Experience with GCP cloud services.
