## Tasks

We are starting a dedicated team responsible for the production environment of our generative design engine. In this position, you will be the owner of the production environment:

*   Implement new features (conceived and prototyped by the research team) into robust, memory and performance optimized versions, and deploy them into production.
*   Closely collaborate with the research team to gain deep understanding of the prototyped algorithms and help them in crucial algorithmic design decisions.
*   Define the C++ / python hybrid architecture of the production environment.
*   Review and increase stability and performance of the already existing set of algorithms.
*   Maintain the production environment (bugfixes, packages updates, …).
*   Be the owner for the release schedule of the production environment (plan and release all patch, minor and major releases).
*   Oversee the code-coverage and quality of the automated test framework (implemented by the QA team).

## Requirements

For this position, we are looking for a passionate person who is bringing the following to our team:

*   Background in computer science, software engineering, and 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
*   Strong programming skills in Python, C++ and SQL.
*   Proven track record in algorithmic development.
*   Hands-on experience with training and deployment of machine learning and deep-learning models
*   Hands-on experience with traditional optimization algorithms (continuous as well as combinatorial) and sound knowledge of data structures.
*   Industry experience in memory and computational complexity optimization.
*   Industry experience in parallelization, multi-threading and GPU acceleration.
*   Industry experience in multi-service architecture environment.
*   Experience with API integrations and open source software.
*   Experience with Cloud Services, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), Docker, and familiarity with Linux systems.
*   Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
*   Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

*   Strong mathematical background
*   Experience with graphics programming
*   Experience with CAD or BIM development
*   Experience with automated testing frameworks
*   German language
