Senior Full Stack Developer (PHP/Laravel & Next.js)

Bikeflip is the venture backed go-to marketplace for used bicycles in Europe. Our mission is to make high-quality, pre-loved bikes accessible to everyone while reducing waste and promoting sustainable mobility. We’re a team of passionate cyclists, tech enthusiasts, and industry insiders, and we’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to help us take Bikeflip to the next level.

As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll be a key player in shaping our product, architecture, and engineering culture. You’ll work closely with a small, ambitious team to build scalable, maintainable, and test-driven solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Building and maintaining core features of our platform using PHP (Laravel) and Next.js

• Designing and optimizing REST APIs and database schemas (MySQL, Redis)
• Writing clean, maintainable, and test-driven code
• Collaborating with the team to define and implement best practices in software development
• Contributing to architectural decisions and roadmap planning
• Helping us grow a product that’s loved by both casual riders and serious cyclists

Must-Have Skills

3+ years of professional experience as a full stack developer

• Strong experience with PHP (Laravel) in a professional environment
• Proficiency in NextJS/Typescript
• Solid understanding of MySQL, Redis, Git, and RESTful APIs
• Deep commitment to test-driven development and writing maintainable code
• Familiarity with modern development workflows and CI/CD
• AI tools are your coding companions
• Fluency in English – written and spoken

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Meilisearch, AWS, or Stripe
• Basic knowledge of test frameworks like cycpress or jest
• An eye for performance and scalability
