Purpose of the Role
As Design Engineer (m/f/d), you will take a key role in developing and maintaining a comprehensive 3D SolidWorks environment for AutoGyro’s aircraft models.
Your mission:
- Build a complete set of SolidWorks models and drawings for all aircraft types.
- Enable the creation of a 3D Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC).
- Provide transferable design data and documentation for production facilities.
These models will form the technical foundation for the next generation of manufacturing process sheets and maintenance documentation.
Tasks
Design & Development
- 3D design, modelling, and detailing of aircraft components and assemblies in SolidWorks (structures, fairings, cabin parts, mechanical systems).
- Creation and revision of production drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in line with CAA, CAAC, and FAA standards.
- Integration of mechanical, composite, and electrical systems into the overall aircraft structure.
- Establishment of assembly models and proper design requirements.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
Documentation & Certification Support
- Preparation of engineering documentation, technical specifications, and test reports.
- Support of design change and compliance documentation aligned with international aviation requirements.
- Technical clarification with suppliers and certification partners.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Contribution to the development of new manufacturing process sheets and maintenance documentation.
- Participation in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Support the optimisation and standardisation of design and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- Several years of practical design experience in mechanical or aerospace systems.
- Proven SolidWorks expertise (mandatory).
- Sound understanding of manufacturing processes (metal, composites, machining).
- Experience within international aviation compliance environments (CAA, CAAC, FAA) is an advantage.

- Attention to detail and high documentation accuracy.
Languages
- Fluent in English and German (minimum C1 level, written and spoken, written-only or sub-C1 proficiency is not sufficient).
- Chinese (minimum B2 level)
