About the team

The Teleaudiology team at audibene develops cutting-edge technology to define the future of hearing care and telemedicine. We ensure that consultants, audiologists and our customers have a first-class experience during remote real-time video consultation sessions. This is accomplished with a stack of frontends and services, and a tablet device for the customer.

About the role

Running on the tablet is the heart of our tele care process, a custom software, written in Rust and C++, responsible for the success of our consultation calls, tying together videoconferencing, document signing, media playback, audiometry tasks and more. We are looking for a Senior Rust Developer (f/mx) who is motivated to work with the team. Your focus will be on improving and refining this part of our stack. Beyond that, you will also assist in the architecture, development and maintenance of other parts of our technical landscape.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and develop greenfield mission-critical B2C and B2B applications
  • Integrate your solutions into the larger system architecture of our company
  • A key contributor to our tech landscape and architecture
  • Build reusable, scalable systems at a global level
  • Drive discussions around tech, unblocking engineering pain points
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders working on global-scale software

Your profile:

  • Extensive experience working with Rust
  • Experience with C++, Windows development or systems programming is a strong plus
  • Greenfield project and systems experience, you know how to build from scratch
  • System integration expertise; DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, Data Layer, API, Messaging, AWS
  • You consider yourself part of a product organization, being customer focused
  • You advocate and evangelize a DevOps culture
  • You are a strong communicator and team player that knows how to inspire others
