Requirements

Good practical knowledge of vehicles and basic maintenance, with the ability to carry out routine checks, identify faults and recognise when professional repairs are needed.

A responsible, organised and hands-on approach, with strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards safety and maintenance.

A valid driving licence and confidence driving and manoeuvring company vehicles.

The ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure, making timely, safety-focused decisions when breakdowns or unexpected issues occur.

Flexibility to support changing operational needs, including responding to unexpected vehicle problems within agreed working hours and on-call arrangements.

Clear communication and strong teamwork skills, working effectively with guides, the operations team and external service providers.

Comfort working outdoors in Arctic conditions, including cold temperatures, snow and changing weather.

Previous experience in fleet management, vehicle maintenance or a similar practical role is an advantage.
