Full Stack Developer

apeirum partners with European engineering companies to place senior software talent. For one of our client partners — an established engineering company in Barcelona — we're hiring a Full Stack Developer to build and evolve an internal simulation & visualization platform used in complex engineering design. You'll own front-end, back-end and data, and turn rich engineering data into intuitive, high-performance visual tools. Barcelona-based, full-time.

• Develop and maintain the front-end and back-end of the simulation & visualization platform.
• Build interactive visualizations of system performance, data, and behavior.
• Work with simulation, control and systems engineers to integrate engineering models.
• Improve platform scalability, maintainability and user experience.
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews and continuous improvement.
• Support deployment, testing and documentation of new features.

Must have:

• Full-stack experience (TypeScript, Python, React, Node.js, or similar).
• Strong front-end frameworks / modern UI development.
• Back-end services, APIs and data handling.
• Ability to build interactive data visualizations and intuitive UIs.
• Proven delivery in a structured engineering environment; strong communicator.
• Based in Spain (Barcelona).
• Degree: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Languages: English (professional); Spanish/Catalan and German a plus.

Nice to have:

• Domain knowledge in simulation, control engineering or robotics.
• Scientific computing / simulation tools.
• Cloud deployment, containerization or CI/CD.
• 2D/3D visualization libraries.

• Work on a technically meaningful platform at the intersection of software and engineering.
• A collaborative, cross-disciplinary engineering team.
• Barcelona-based, permanent, full-time.
• International environment.
