Senior UI / Frontend Developer (React) - Freelance / Temprorary Contract (8+ months)

We’re supporting a small, fast-moving ML/AI product company working on an analytics platform focused on personality and behavioral insights.

Due to parental leave within the frontend team, they’re looking for a senior UI / frontend developer to temporarily take ownership of the frontend, with a strong chance to extend.

Your Role

Build and implement a new analytics dashboard based on existing designs

• Translate Figma designs into high-quality, scalable frontend components
• Improve and refine the overall UI and frontend experience across the product
• Support the evolution of the frontend architecture during the coverage period
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and cross-functional team members

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of experience as a UI / frontend developer

• Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend best practices
• Confident working with Figma, wireframes, and design systems
• Experience joining an existing codebase and improving it pragmatically
• Detail-oriented, structured, and able to turn complex requirements into feasible solutions

Mindset & Working Style

Comfortable in a startup environment with changing priorities

• Collaborative and communicative, but able to work independently
• Strong sense for usability, UI quality, and clean execution
• Creative thinker who can translate complex concepts into intuitive interfaces

Nice to Have

Experience building dashboards or data-heavy UIs

• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks
• Exposure to analytics, ML, or data-driven products

Setup

Duration: ~8 months (parental leave coverage)

• Extension: Very likely
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Remote (Europe-friendly time zones preferred)
• Team: ~12 FTE, lean and product-focused
