Backend Engineer

OpenAGI Foundation is founded by world-class researchers and engineers from MIT, UIUC and CMU, who have had pioneering contributions to the field of LLM and Agents. Before OpenAGI was founded, the prior work from the team has served as foundations for several hundreds of projects on GitHub, received more than 20M downloads, ranking GitHub global top 1 for two times, officially covered by MIT and prestigious news media.

• You will join our core engineering team, responsible for backend development of AI Agent products.
• You will help build our open-source community and ecosystem around the models and products.
• You will work with top researchers, optimizing model evaluation frameworks from the engineering side, building data flywheels, and improving model performance.

• 3+ years of work experience, good English reading / writing skills
• Solid foundation in CS, networking, and databases
• Familiar with Python backend & SDK development; frontend experience is a plus
• Highly self-driven, with ownership mindset—aiming not just to complete tasks, but to do them well
• Sensitive to product and customer (developer) needs
