Working at Adfinis

Adfinis drives digitalization with open standards and technologies, shaping a world of innovative, sustainable, and resilient IT solutions based on trusted Open Source technology.

As our company grows, we’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team and act as the critical bridge between technical expertise and customer-centric solution design. You’ll support the full pre-sales lifecycle: helping customers shape their vision, translating their needs into solid, technically feasible solutions, and ensuring Adfinis delivers exactly what they need.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Solution Architects, Marketing, and Portfolio Management to craft proposals, present solutions, and guide customers toward smart, cost-effective decisions. And when you see opportunities for new offerings, upselling, or innovative service packages, you’ll help bring them to life.

Tasks

What You'll Be Doing

Qualify deals to make customer needs and Adfinis capabilities click.

Steer customers toward smart, cost-friendly solutions.

Turn ideas into clear proposals and Statements of Work.

Write crisp proposal texts that make tech sound simple and sharp.

Jump into presentations and make the tech side shine.

Spot chances to upsell or grow our services.

Fly the Adfinis flag at events and conferences.

Help shape portfolio offerings that scale and wow customers.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

You’ve qualified deals, shaped solutions, and shown the value in pre-sales for a few years.

You have a firm grasp on Linux, cloud technology, and enterprise IT.

You map out architectures and roadmaps for clients that just work.

You know Open Source enterprise solutions and their use cases.

You make complex ideas sound clear and compelling.

You are fluent in German (C1/C2) and can properly communicate in English (B2).

Which Soft Skills Will Come in Handy

Getting your point across to fellow techies and customers.

Striving for top-notch work and reliably following the game plan.

Lending a hand and jumping in to put out a fire when needed.

Untangling tricky knots and cooking up smart fixes.

Spotting what customers need and keeping them happy.

Setting clear expectations and sticking to what’s promised.

Keeping stakeholders in the loop and balancing their asks.

Taking initiative, speaking up, and grabbing new opportunities.

Benefits

We're REALLY serious about Open Source. Keeping things transparent and accessible, supporting collaboration, and bigging up the community, it's not just what we do; it's who we are.

Full-time or part-time, working on-site or logging in from your couch; the choice is yours. Thinking of jetting off for a bit? Hit us up in advance, and we'll probably sort it out.

Being right in the sweet spot between a small tech shack and a big corporation, we keep it real with a down-to-earth attitude, solid business processes, and speedy decisions.

We're all about that growth mindset. Whether it's levelling up your soft skills, nabbing some new certs, or geeking out at conferences, we've got your back.

We offer a 40-hour work week, 5 weeks of paid vacation, and flexible options for unpaid time off (like sabbaticals and other big adventures).

Does that sound interesting to you?

Gil Oliveira, our Chief Commercial Officer, will be happy to review your application.

We are looking forward to getting to know you!
