We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to build and run an new Technology team within Adaire to support one of our clients!
The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, deploy and maintain Java-based products for our client. You must be comfortable building, managing and working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.
Tasks
This is a full-time on-site Senior Project Owner (English and German) role located in Windhoek, Namibia. As the Senior Project Owner, you will be responsible for building a team, managing the lifecycle of projects, from initiation to close-out, to ensure that project objectives are met on time and within budget. You will oversee project teams and foster strong relationships with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management or related field
- Experience creating running a technology team
- Fully fluent in English and German (speaking, reading, and writing)
- 10+ years of project management experience in software development
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience in working in a multicultural environment and collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams
- Experience in Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification a bonus
