42 Wolfsburg is a higher education NGO/start-up educating up to 600 students to become cutting-edge techies and software engineers in a practice-based peer-learning environment. 42 Wolfsburg is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded 2013 in Paris and today trains 18‘000+ students in 54 schools all over the world. At 42 Wolfsburg we set out to educate the next generation of European software engineers to build the digital infrastructure of our societies – this means meaningful work, excellent career opportunities and lots of responsibility.

Tasks

As Event Manager you will ensure that our teams can deliver great event content for our students and partners. On top of that, you'll own your own events.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Coordinating events on site incl. space bookings, calendaring, event announcements,
  • Providing event support for all teams, incl. event project management, subcontractor coordination and hands-on event implementation,
  • Leading Event Standardisation and Quality Management,
  • Owning, planning and carrying out 1-2 main school events per year,
  • Owning, planning and carrying out team events, such as offsites or fun activities.

Must-have:

  • Right to live and work in Germany,
  • Strong identification with the mission of 42,
  • Some event management or gastronomy experience,
  • Very good English skills (spoken and written) to communicate with the team and our students,
  • Willingness to work on our Campus in Wolfsburg,
  • Flexibility regarding working hours during events (events usually take place Mo-Fri but might take place outside 9-5).

Nice-to-have:

  • Some German language skills to work with subcontractors and external service providers.
