__Job Overview:__

We are looking for a Software Engineer Working Student to join our development team. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance our software products. As a working student, you will work part-time while attending university.

__Responsibilities:__

* Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and maintain software applications and focus on quality.
* Write clean and well-documented code using modern programming languages.
* Participate in reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure software quality.
* Research and evaluate new technologies to improve software performance and user experience
* Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, data scientists on assigned tasks and contribute to team projects

__Requirements:__

* Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
* Good understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
* Comfortable in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript
* Knowledge of software development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Agile methodologies
* Problem-solving and analytical skills are a plus
* Strong communication, preferably English and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

__Our tech stack__

Our platform is powered by __AWS__, __Kubernetes__, __Istio__, __Terraform__ and __Docker__ forming the foundation that allows us to deploy and scale reliably. __Prometheus__ and __Grafana__  are used to monitor and log which improve observability of our systems. Our microservices and backends run mostly on __Java__ __+__ Spring Boot and __Groovy,__ which include easy-to-use templates for new microservices.

On the client-side we use __Swift__ and __Kotlin__, as well as __React__ micro-frontends for our B2B and operational apps. We test our software by using __Selenium__, JUnit, Spock and __React Testing Library__.

We store data in various persistence technologies like __Kafka streams, Postgres and Redis__, while also using __SQS__ and REST for both asynchronous and immediate service communication. We make use of technologies like __ElasticSearch__ to find the best match.

We empower our teams to experiment with new technologies through __Request For Comments (RFC)__ process, in conjunction with collectives and knowledge-sharing sessions to gather input and maximize the quality of our deliverables. The insights we gain from our users flow back into our product development through __A/B testing__ and constant feedback.
