Sum up, we are seeking a high-impact Head of QA to champion quality across all our digital products and services, including both internal and external platforms. This role requires strategic vision, deep expertise in QA best practices, and the leadership finesse to orchestrate an ecosystem of internal teams and external collaborators. The ideal candidate has a track record of establishing robust testing frameworks, scaling QA operations, and ensuring seamless, high-quality user experiences.
Tasks
What You’ll Do 🚀
A) QA Strategy & Vision
- Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the organization’s growth and innovation goals.
- Long-term planning to ensure testing processes, tools, and methodologies scale effectively with the product roadmap.
B) Quality Assurance Processes & Standards
- Develop and maintain best practices, standard operating procedures, and QA metrics for all digital assets (mobile apps, web services, APIs).
- Oversee the planning and execution of functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
C) Team Leadership & Ecosystem Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse QA team—both in-house testers and external partners, ensuring alignment on roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Build strong relationships with contractor and outsourcing partners, setting clear expectations for quality and timelines.
D) Test Automation & Innovation
- Establish and optimize automated testing frameworks and continuous integration pipelines to shorten release cycles while maintaining high reliability.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and introduce cutting-edge testing tools or techniques where beneficial.
E) Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and other stakeholders to integrate testing early in the development lifecycle.
- Communicate test results, quality metrics, and critical issues to leadership, influencing immediate and long-term decisions on product release criteria.
F) Continuous Improvement & Scalability
- Implement data-driven insights and analytics to refine QA approaches, enhance coverage, and minimize defects.
- Support a culture of “quality first,” advocating for improvements that elevate user satisfaction and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For 🎯
- 10+ years of experience in QA or Software Testing roles, including 3+ years in leadership.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluency in English at a professional level is mandatory, required for global leadership and communication with international partners.
- Proven track record in manual and automated testing, including tools like Selenium, Appium, and CI/CD frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools and API testing methodologies.
- Exceptional people-management skills for supervising cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Strong focus on metrics and data-driven decisions (KPIs, dashboards, root-cause analysis).
- Excellent communication skills to present critical insights to senior leadership and influence quality decisions.
- Adept at fostering a culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous learning.
