Founders Associate

At Voltrac, we are on a mission to strengthen Europe’s food security and defence with an autonomous electric tractor to free farmers from drudgery and keep soldiers out of harm’s way. The 3.5 tonnes platform is currently being tested at vineyards, olive orchards and citrus groves across Spain - check out our website to see it in action. We are about to scale manufacturing to 100 units yearly, and are looking for a founders associate to help us put out fires.

Who we are

Voltrac was founded by Francisco Infante Aguirre and Thomas Hubregtsen in 2024. Francisco used to build hydrogen-powered supersonic planes at Destinus and heavy-lifting eVTOLs at Volocopter, but comes from a family that builds and sells tractor implements in over 25 countries. Thomas used to accelerate Machine Learning using GPUs, TPUs, and Quantum Computers at Google X, IBM and BMW, as well as started San Francisco-based Extropic introducing Thermodynamic computers, but also had his first job at a farm.

Together, they set their sights on shaking up the market, competing directly with incumbents and startups alike. In their journey, they are supported by investors such as Extantia, Foodlabs, Antler, Push, and Prototype, who together committed a total of €9M in funding. With this, they were able to open up shop in a 1200 m² facility in Valencia, with 300 m² of natural‑light office and a 900 m² workshop. Valencia is consistently voted as one of Europe’s top places to live based on its excellent climate, vibrant historic centre, and affordable cost of living. The team is young, comes from different backgrounds, and loves to have team bbqs, but share one aim: shape Europe’s agriculture and defence with machines that do real work.

As Founders Associate you will be the execution engine that keeps the company running smoothly in Spain: driving cross-functional projects, reducing founder overhead, and making sure the right things happen every week. You will act as the founders’ operational right hand in Spain - driving execution, communication and critical projects so the engineering team can build and the company can scale. This is a very varied job position that could encompass:

• Run the operating cadence: weekly priorities, meeting notes, action tracking and follow-ups across teams.
• Own day-to-day operations in Spain: office/workshop logistics, suppliers, services, travel, and on-site coordination.
• Drive special projects end-to-end.
• Support people operations together with our internal team: onboarding logistics, local administration, and coordination with external HR/payroll providers.
• Support finance operations together with the Comptroller/accounting provider: invoice flow, expense policy, purchase requests, documentation.
• Interface with external stakeholders in Spain (suppliers, local institutions, service providers) and translate as needed (Spanish/English).
• Drive national grant applications & execution.
• Aid in high-stakes events and customer visits in Spain
• Jump in wherever else help might be needed

Long-term this is the pathway to Chief of Staff or similar careers that span across the organization.

• 3+ years experience in operations, chief-of-staff, venture capital or similar execution-heavy roles (startup experience strongly preferred).
• Native or fluent Spanish and fluent English (written and spoken). Applications in English only.
• Exceptional organization: you can track many threads, prioritize, and follow through without micromanagement.
• Strong writing and communication skills (you can turn messy discussions into clear plans).
• Comfort working in ambiguity and moving fast with incomplete information.
• Familiarity with Spanish administrative processes (vendors, contracts, basic HR/ops coordination).
• Experience supporting fundraising processes (investor updates, data rooms, materials coordination).
• Willing to travel nationally regularly.
• Basic financial literacy (budget tracking, invoice flow, vendor management).
• Comfortable organizing events, demos and pilot operations.
• Comfortable speaking externally about the company.
• Looking to have an impact across the entire organization.
