Concept Designer (m/f/d) Freelance

We are looking for a Concept Designer to create and shape concepts for projects in media scenography, exhibition design, and immersive experiences. Working closely with the Creative Director and interdisciplinary teams, you will translate ideas, content, and audience needs into strong conceptual and scenographic approaches, from initial vision to presentation.

• Develop and shape creative concepts for projects in media scenography, exhibition design, and immersive experiences from initial idea to presentation.
• Translate client goals, messages, and audience insights into clear conceptual and scenographic frameworks.
• Create and guide the development of storyboards, mood boards, and visual presentations to communicate ideas effectively.
• Ensure consistency of the concept across all visual elements, narratives, and communication channels.
• Collaborate closely with Creative Direction, Content, and Technical teams to align concept, storytelling, and feasibility.
• Act as a key contact for clients on conceptual and content-related topics, guiding decisions within project scope, timeline, and budget.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends to continuously evolve creative approaches

• 5+ years of experience in concept development within media scenography, exhibition design, immersive media, or related creative industries.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, storytelling, and visual translation of ideas.
• Ability to develop clear narratives and translate complex content into engaging experiences.
• Experience in creating and presenting storyboards, mood boards, and concept presentations.
• Good understanding of interdisciplinary workflows across creative, content, and technical teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in international and cross-functional teams.
• Interest in new technologies and their application in spatial and immersive experiences.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
