Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office)

Scope: UK, Ireland and Spain

Travel: At least one trip every 6 weeks to the UK, with intermittent travel to Spain as required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Head of People to lead the People function across our international business.

This role forms part of the extended management team and is responsible for ensuring the organisation has the right structure, capability, culture, and workforce model to support significant business growth while maintaining operational efficiency and strong governance.

The successful candidate will partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to drive organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, performance management, leadership capability, and business transformation.

This role requires an individual who can operate strategically while remaining highly practical and execution-focused within a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Tasks

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the People function across the UK, Ireland, and Spain, ensuring the organisation has the structure, capability, and culture to support business growth.
  • Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team on workforce planning, organisational design, and people strategy.
  • Develop effective resourcing strategies across permanent, contract, outsourced, and offshore models.
  • Lead organisational change initiatives to improve performance, scalability, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Build a high-performance culture through strong leadership, performance management, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Drive Learning & Development initiatives focused on leadership capability, AI/automation adoption, and future business needs.
  • Use workforce data and commercial insight to support hiring, restructuring, and organisational decision-making.
  • Ensure robust governance, compliance, and due diligence readiness across all people practices and workforce arrangements.
  • Lead and support the HR Generalist based in Dublin, ensuring high-quality operational and employee support across the business.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment and leading through organisational change

Requirements

What You Bring to the Role

  • 8–12+ years’ experience across HR / People functions, including 3–5+ years operating in a senior HR leadership or Head of People capacity.
  • Strong organisational design and workforce planning capability.
  • Experience supporting organisational growth, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance growth objectives with cost discipline.
  • Experience driving performance, accountability, and leadership capability across teams.
  • Strong employee relations and employment law experience across UK and Ireland.
  • Experience partnering closely with Finance and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership capability.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

Desirable

  • Experience operating across multiple geographies or international teams.
  • Experience in scaling SMEs or high-growth businesses.
  • Experience supporting buy-side or sell-side due diligence, investment, acquisition, or transactional activity.
  • Experience implementing AI, automation, or operational efficiency initiatives.
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent senior HR qualification.
