**About START Berlin:**

START Berlin is one of the largest chapters of START Network, the leading student entrepreneurship initiative in Europe, founded in 1996. We made it our mission to facilitate entrepreneurship globally and support the global leaders of tomorrow early on.

We function as a platform for our members to collaborate, create and expand ideas, and offer a unique experience of personal growth in a truly international environment. We do all of that by organizing events for the public but also for members only, in collaboration with successful startups, investors and entrepreneurship societies.

Among our START alumni are known names like Thomas Pischke (Co-Founder & CTO at Trade Republic), Alex Weidauer (Co-Founder & CEO at Rasa) Adrian Locher (Co-Founder & CEO at Merantix), Felix Haas (Co-Founder at IDnow and Bits & Pretzels) and Florian Schweitzer (Co-Founder at btov Partners).

## Tasks

**About the role:**

\*Please note that this is a voluntary role for exceptionally ambitious students. **There is no monetary incentive involved.\***

As a Board Member of START Berlin, you will grow the community and establish the Berlin chapter as the go-to personal development platform for young and aspiring entrepreneurs, at least for the next six months.

**As a Board Member at START Berlin, you will:**

*   Collaborate to set the direction and objectives of the organization
*   Build out the exclusive community of high-potentials of the startup world
*   Conceptionalize and execute on game-changing initiatives & projects that will take START to the next level
*   Communicate and represent START Berlin among the 11 chapters of the START Network as well as with other student initiatives around the globe
*   Establish internal communication frameworks that enable smooth interaction between all members
*   Prepare and run the weekly all-hands meetings

**You will be perfect for this position if you:**

*   Have a deep interest in the European startup and venture capital scene
*   Strongly believe in rising by lifting others
*   Have a highly proactive attitude and are a results-driven person
*   Bring great positive energy and can spark the fire in others
*   Enjoy getting your hands dirty and be a role model for all community members
*   Have high emotional intelligence and are able to transmit it to others as well
*   Think problems are opportunities to learn from and therefore enjoy creating immediate countermeasures when challenges arise
*   Can commit yourself intensely to START for at least 6 months
