The IT Support Officer helps keep the organization’s IT systems, networks, and hardware running smoothly. The role calls for hands-on experience in system administration, network management, and IT security. You’ll be a key part of making sure everything stays reliable, fast, and secure to keep business operations on track.
Tasks
- Provide timely and effective support to end-users across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line issues.
- Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, infrastructure, and network problems through structured troubleshooting and analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, insights, and solutions, strengthening overall support capabilities.
- Escalate complex cases to higher tiers or specialists to ensure prompt and expert resolution of critical issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across core systems and services, including Windows Servers and Azure.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and security patches for operating systems and applications.
- Participate in on-call duties for urgent or high-priority incidents.
- Installation/Maintenance of office solutions like Access Control, CCTV, Controller based WiFi
Requirements
- Proven experience in Windows environments
- Deep knowledge of networking basics like TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with clear communication for non-technical users
- Knowledge of Infrastructures and Networks
- Driver's License.
- Excellent command of English.
- Locally based in Malta
- A Bachelor’s Degree or MQF Level 6 Diploma in IT, ICT, Communications, or a related subject is considered an asset.
- CCNA or similar certification will be considered an asset
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT support role
