## Your Opportunity

As a Senior Electromagnetics Software Developer (m/f/d), your mission will be to develop and shape the future of the SimScale’s electromagnetics offering to our large and constantly growing user base. As an experienced electromagnetics software engineer, you will bring your development experience for solving real-world problems in a broad range of industries, moving SimScale closer to its goal of being a complete multiphysics simulation toolkit in the cloud.

You will be deeply involved in developing and implementing outstanding solutions that will lift our simulation platform to the next level. As a core member of the Simulation Team, you will work in close collaboration with a highly experienced team of developers, product managers and engineers on a daily basis.

## What we expect from you

* PhD degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or comparable qualification or equivalent practical experience
* 5+ years of experience in developing electromagnetics software, in a commercial, production setting. Experience in developing simulation automation frameworks is a plus
* Advanced knowledge of electromagnetics
* Advanced knowledge of the Finite Element Method
* Extensive industry experience with engineering simulation and high-performance computing
* Experience with software version control (Git preferred) and collaborative development
* Familiarity with the general computer science patterns
* A positive attitude towards operational excellence, which means detecting and fixing bugs that affect customers, increasing the number of automatic tests, producing code of high quality and keeping a sound architecture
* Willingness to learn and adapt (especially to new programming languages and paradigms), getting things done attitude
* Experience developing software with modern programming languages (Java, Go, Rust, etc.) in a professional environment and developing products in the cloud are a plus
