Reflaunt is a leading circularity technology platform transforming how fashion brands participate in the resale economy. We power premium and luxury brands — including NET-A-PORTER, Balenciaga and Level Shoes — with embedded resale infrastructure, enabling seamless resale, donation, and recycling directly from their ecommerce environment.
Our API connects into brands' digital ecosystems and routes inventory across a global network of 30+ resale marketplaces. Founded 7 years ago, backed by leading VCs and strategic investors including Fashion for Good and the CEO of Balenciaga, our team of ~25 operates at the intersection of technology, fashion, and sustainability.
We are entering a new phase of scale — and this role is central to how we get there.
The Role
We are looking for a Head of Product & Design who leads with exceptional visual taste and design craft, while holding full ownership of our product roadmap and engineering delivery.
This is a hybrid role born from a real business need: Reflaunt's product must look and feel world-class — rooted in the aesthetic language of luxury fashion — while also being strategically driven, technically sound, and operationally excellent. You will be the person who ensures both.
Design is your primary identity and strongest skill. Product strategy, roadmap ownership, and engineering collaboration are the scope you own on top of that.
Tasks
What You Will Own
UX & Brand Design — Primary Priority
This is the skill we are hiring for first. Everything else builds on it.
- Own the full visual identity of Reflaunt: product UI, brand guidelines, marketing assets, pitch decks, and partner-facing materials
- Define and maintain Reflaunt's design system — components, typography, colour palette, spacing, iconography — ensuring consistency across every touchpoint
- Design wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes that reflect luxury-grade aesthetics
- Create and document brand guidelines from scratch: logo usage, art direction, tone, photography style, and visual language
- Lead UX thinking across all product surfaces — consumer-facing flows, brand dashboards, personal shopper tools, and internal ops interfaces
- Bring a genuine, demonstrable aesthetic sensibility rooted in luxury, fashion, and high-end digital experience
Product Strategy & Roadmap
You own the product vision and ensure it is executed with rigour and clarity.
- Define and maintain Reflaunt's product roadmap, aligned to business growth and market evolution
- Lead product discovery: translate commercial needs, user insights, and technical constraints into clear, prioritised product decisions
- Own the full product lifecycle from ideation through to launch and iteration
- Identify new opportunities across ecommerce integrations, resale infrastructure, marketplace connectivity, and personal shopper tooling
- Present product strategy and results to the CEO, leadership team, and key commercial partners
- Use data and experimentation to drive prioritisation — define KPIs, track performance, and turn insights into action
Engineering Collaboration & QA
You are the connective tissue between design intent and engineering delivery.
- Write clear, structured product specs and acceptance criteria that engineers can build to without ambiguity
- Work closely with the engineering team (Lisbon-based) through Agile sprint cycles
- Own QA: review built features against design specifications and flag visual or functional regressions before release
- Maintain a shared source of truth between design files and live product
- Act as the design and product voice in sprint reviews, planning, and retrospectives
What We're Looking For
Design Craft & Aesthetic — Essential
- Exceptional visual design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates genuine taste — not just functional UI
- Demonstrable aesthetic sensibility rooted in luxury, fashion, or premium lifestyle brands — you understand the visual language of high-end
- Proficient in Figma: components, auto-layout, design systems, variables, and prototyping
- Experience defining or substantially contributing to a brand identity or design system
- Obsessive attention to detail: spacing, hierarchy, motion, micro-interactions, and typography all matter to you
- Portfolio must include work for luxury, fashion, lifestyle, or premium tech — agency or in-house
Product Thinking & Strategy
- Track record of owning a product roadmap and shipping meaningful features end-to-end
- Experience in ecommerce, marketplaces, or retail technology strongly preferred
- Ability to zoom between strategic product vision and granular UX decision-making
- Strong analytical mindset — you use data to validate assumptions and prioritise ruthlessly
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to create clarity in a fast-moving scale-up environment
Technical & QA Collaboration
- Experience writing detailed product specs and working within Agile delivery cycles
- Comfort reviewing built products against spec and communicating QA feedback clearly to engineers
- Solid understanding of front-end constraints and technical feasibility — you don't need to code, but you need to understand the trade-offs
- Experience with API-integrated or platform products a plus
Mindset
- High ownership — you take pride in the quality of everything that ships and feel personal accountability for the product
- A leader who can hold the design bar without losing the room — collaborative, not precious
- Comfortable being a team of one in your discipline while working cross-functionally
- Genuine passion for fashion, luxury, sustainability, or circular economy is a real plus
- Results-oriented, pragmatic, and direct
Requirements
Experience & Background
- 4–8 years of experience in product design, UX, or a product management role with strong design ownership
- Demonstrated experience in both design craft and product strategy — not one or the other
- Experience designing for a luxury, fashion, lifestyle, or premium brand (agency or in-house)
- Experience building or maintaining a design system or brand identity
- Background in B2B SaaS, ecommerce, marketplace, or platform products preferred
- Degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or equivalent practical experience
