This is not a social media manager role. It's not a content writer role. It's a hybrid:
You'll both create content yourself (especially video) and coordinate content created by others - including AI-generated drafts and team contributions. You own the outcome, not just your own output.
This role focuses exclusively on social media and community communication. It does not own PR, company-wide messaging strategy, or employee advocacy programs.
YouTube (primary channel) Own the channel's growth. Create long-form and short-form video. Appear on camera. Develop educational, use-case, and community-relevant formats. YouTube is a core growth channel - not a side project.
Topic & idea generation Identify industry trends, high-value topics, and recurring problems in the market. Monitor YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, Instagram, Telegram, and niche communities. You are responsible for what we talk about not just how.
Content repurposing & distribution Adapt content into posts, threads, comments, and short-form formats. Repurpose video, internal knowledge, and discussions. Actively distribute across platforms and within community conversations. Visibility comes from distribution, not just publishing.
Community engagement Participate in discussions on Reddit, LinkedIn, Telegram, and other relevant communities. Answer questions, share insights, maintain conversations. Value-first, non-promotional. The goal is human presence and expert credibility - not brand broadcasting.
Content quality & consistency Review and refine all content before publishing - yours and others'. Maintain consistent tone of voice, platform-specific communication styles, and coherence across channels. You are the final owner of how we sound externally.
AI-assisted workflow Use AI tools to generate drafts, improve structure, and iterate quickly. Collaborate with internal team members and external specialists. Content is created by a mix of you + AI + contributors - your job is to make it good.
What success looks like:
Short-term: consistent publishing rhythm, improved content quality, visible presence in discussions
Mid-term: growing engagement, increased participation in industry conversations, stronger expert positioning
Long-term: increased visibility across social platforms, communities, and AI/search recommendations
