For an international technology client operating in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced IT Data Governance and Access Control SME (m/f/d) to support a group-wide data protection and governance initiative.
Tasks
Designing a data governance and access-control framework to identify, classify, and protect sensitive and IP-relevant information
Piloting the framework at one business unit ahead of wider group rollout
Defining access restrictions and governance controls across key IT and collaboration systems
Working closely with an internal project manager and reporting into a steering committee
Ensuring data residency and cross-border compliance requirements are met, including restricting access to sensitive data by geography or user group
Requirements
Proven experience designing data governance and access-control frameworks at group or enterprise level
Strong background in data classification, IAM, or access-permission concepts
Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
Comfortable operating in an SME/advisory capacity within a larger governance programme
Background in international or cross-border data compliance, including data residency and data localisation requirements
Start: September 2026
Duration: 6 months
Workload: 80% for September and October, then 60-100% depending on project scope thereafter
Location: 3 days/week onsite in Switzerland, remaining days remote
