Tasks
- Liaise with AFSA and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements;
- Develop, implement, and oversee AML/CFT systems, policies, and procedures in accordance with AIFC and Kazakhstan legislation;
- Monitor the effectiveness of systems and address identified weaknesses;
- Ensure compliance with AML/CFT rules and standards and communicate them to employees;
- Organize and deliver AML/CFT training programs for staff;
- Identify, investigate, and report suspicious transactions (STR/TTR) to the FIU;
- Act as the Company’s point of contact on AML/CFT matters with staff, AFSA, FIU, and other authorities;
- Respond promptly to requests from regulators and internal departments;
- Conduct Business Risk Assessments (BURA) and CDD/EDD procedures;
- Perform sanctions screening and make decisions on potential matches;
- Maintain all necessary records (training, STR/TTR, CDD/EDD, sanctions, etc.);
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on the status of AML/CFT systems and risks.
Requirements
- Experience in dealing with AFSA, AIFC, and regulators;
- Strong knowledge of AFSA/AIFC AML Rules, international directives (FATF, 5AMLD/6AMLD), sanctions, and SEC requirements (for U.S. interactions);
- Solid expertise in KYC/CDD/EDD procedures;
- English level Upper-Intermediate or higher;
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to work with large volumes of information.
